These requirements are quite surprisingly low, they must have optimised the IV engine a lot more compared to release.

It seems like they just took the minimum requirements of GTA IV and raised everything a bit for their guess.

The tendency that more and more games were made for \"the PC of tomorrow\" was what lead to me getting the xbox360 instead. Back when GTA IV for PC came out, the 360 was cheaper than the graphics card alone that I had needed to play on PC.

That's the gag with some PC games. They never seem like they were made for PC's. They seem like they were made for *portentious voice on* THE PC OF TOMORROW!! *portentious voice off*

"Okay, it may be a pile of jumbled shite with the frame rate of a Game and Watch right now, but wait until the system requirements catch up, you'll see!"

Incidentally, I've no idea if that set of system reqs is optimistic or not, I let other people put my PC together. I've a closet full of dead home computer remnants because I "got curious" and wanted to see what the guts of a C64 looked like. I don't know how to make them run, but I instinctively know what to snap, tear, scratch, chew on, lick or dry hump to make them spaz out.

That's just their stab in the dark though isn't it? My guess is they're being optimistic.

You must consider it a rumour as R* hasn't specified the PC requirements.
