A thousand blessings upon his household, Icey has created a lovely little patch for ICEYBoard to let us use it as the backend for our news system.

What does this mean to you? well it means the news will (hopefully... *kicks staff*) be more prevalent and stuff. And of course you can now comment on the news items. As comments are done through the forums a user account will be useful, but since you're all members anyway it's no problem. Right? hehe.

Things are flexible, so if there's something you really hate about it please leave a comment. Of course I'm sure you'll all love it and post lots of wonderful pertinent comments. Right?  ;)

Save you lots of time and you wont need to mess around with FTP clients every time you want to post news :)

Weird, doesnt do that on my computer...

Try changing this:

I fiddled a bit, yes. but I didn't break it, honest. I've found our php is set up quite bizarely, if that helps? hehe.

Anywho, the new code works fine, thank you. Yay news.

Need to talk to Maindrian regarding GTA2 reviews. Will post a news item when I have done..

allrightthen, I cant wait to get my first, ond only gta2 car, (for now). didnt includ a palette file... just a sketch...
that's the only bad point on that car... see it soon...

Yes, thats right. Theres a few PHP scripts that retrieve the topics and messages from the database.

ah what i asumed was was news was posted the same as before but it also apeared here aswel. I thort cos i cant make a new topic, no one can! Silly me!

Could you imagine if we let you post here fordy?!! *shudderz*

The script gets the data directly from the database paul, so its instant. No point grabbing the data from a remote location when its available locally :)
