Well, I thought I had retired from making threedee cars for a moment, but then I had the sudden urge to make something wacky. It's sort of a cross between the BFInjection (which it will replace) and a moon buggy, or at least that's the best way I can think to describe it. I just started it yesterday, so I still need to make a steering wheel, lights, an engine, and shock absorber thingies. Also need to add textures to the seats, flooring, and the solar panel/luggage rack on the back.

Some custom wheels might be nice, but the whole thing is already near 5000 polys- mostly due to the tubing. Anyone think it would still be okay if I made wheels?

Under 10,000 polys and it's fine...after all, the peds are each thousands of polies I think! :D

aww sweet. Very nice, very smooth. These custom wheels, going to be huge baloon tyres? :)

Thanks for the kind words everyone. :)  I just made some somewhat simple, 480 poly wheels for for it, and it still isn't slowing the game down. I think maybe since the BF doesn't spawn at random, that the obnoxious ammount of triangles shouldn't be too big an issue. Here's a render of a wheel, which also happens to have the new name for this beast on it:

@Azz- Lol, you read my mind. Big balloony tires it is. Don't give me too much credit for the smoothness- most of that is on behalf of 3DSMax rather than skills. Don't ya just love Path Deform? :D

@Mew- Yea, I know it's kinda simple, but that's sorta what I was going for. Not sure if I'll add a roof or not, as it would detract from the dune-buggy aspect. The thing does have a greenish windscreen though, it's just not in the picture cuz I was having problems aligning all the dummies.

@Cerb- Eh? What are you on about? What does what have to do with who's post from the pits??

Righto. Well if anybody's interested, I've got a beta version here. It still needs lights, a bit of prodding to the normals on the dash and center console, and the steering wheel needs to go back some, but otherwise it's basically finished. Not sure what I think of the solar panel on the back though... The high contrast texture makes it look almost like its' refelcting light as a real one would, but it's almost too flickery. Feedback is welcome. :)

Hmmm... Solar powered combustion engine? Unless its a backup system? Hehe. I likes it. Looks pretty cool. I like your mods. I'll download but i gotta get to the point where the bf appears becasue i kinda broke my save game and had to start again. Nice work  :Y

Oh, and Dup, I have it set up so that it drives around like a normal car, so you can get it at the beginning of the game. ;)

ill, dang, that's awesome.
Where is the BFInjection at, anyway? I haven't been able to find it, yet. Once I get ahold of it, it'll be the last car on my list I need crossing off, and I can get all the cars whenever I want. Once that's the case, I want to download this, because it looks hella fun. :D

Good job! Reminds me of one of those dune buggies made from a Volkswagen.
