    		i cant get it higher than the lowest resolution
    and the 1.03 patch doesnt help..

    my specs are:
    winXPpro
    p4 2ghz
    g4 ti4200 128mb
    786mb

    		Maybe your computer is to good :-) I think GTA2 had some problems with XP, but i'm not sure.
    The patch mucked mine up, and i had to restart.
     
    Try changing you desktop settings in the control panel.
    Ie. the Settings tab when you right click on the desktop and get the dialog box where you can change your wallpaper etc.
