what, my site?
erm, well the minimum size should be 800pixels (I seem to remember measuring it way back when i designed it). I'm not a huge fan of expanding websites, and they're a pain to design (not to create, just to design as in so they look well done and don't have huge gaps).
I'm working on a new design which will become the default skin though..
mission.ini site yes, it's on my hard drive waiting to go live again. To be honest you're the first person to notice it wasn't there so I wasn't rushing myself. I'll get it online asap.. Most places on the site have fairly chunkey lumps of text which should prevent big gaps from being a problem? Exciting to here there there will be a new design. :Y
The main body of the page is around 805px but that bar down the right, where adverts and polls are, adds around 200 more. I think the navigation section could be much thinner, which would save some space. Just setting all the cells as having percentage widths should make it turn out alright. I think all browsers render tables so that empty cells collapse to allow ones with content to expand, preventing side bars. These empty cells will then expand back out as the browser window is made wider. Just a case of picking a set of numbers which are proportional, really.
A great place for sensible articles about realistic web design is the one Icey uses and this article has a short (but pretty watertight) argument against fixed width web pages as point #2.
(EDIT) I just found this one today, which shows how to use relative sized fonts via CSS! By using "120%" instead of something like "12pt" the user can change the apparent size of the text from the browser menu. B) ------------------
