Well, I was wrong then. I didn't even know there were 911's with those kinds of tails. Anyway, the only thing I can say, is keep going like this :P

I tried a quick conversion to GTA3, and it seems to work quite good, the only bug is this:
http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~jaktonn/pics/gta3_911_brakebug.jpg
This happens when you hit the brakes real hard at high speeds. I guess it's caused by the suspension setup in the handling, as the suspension is rather bouncy when accelerating, too.

You need to remove some fields from the handling lines I made.  Vice has a "Suspension anti-dive" settings near the end of each line which GTA3 does not, so you need to remove that.  You also need to re-build the flags as Vice uses twice the number of bytes as GTA3 does.

Let me know if that helps.

I forgot to mention that I already tried that prior to taking that image...I'll gonna check if I accidentally deleted the wrong value in the handling line, that might be a possible reason.

EDIT: okay, I had some more tests...It looks like that I have to move the wheel dummies a bit for GTA3, as this effect doesn't show that strong when importing a different model and keeping the handling line.

Okay, here's the official Porsche 911 Turbo Feedback Topic. It hasn't been reviewed yet, (Dup's lazy?) but I hope it gets reviewed soon.

Handling was made by myself using the tutorials on Cerbera's site, I was rather unsure about it, but the overall feedback to it I got so far seems to be rather positive, so I guess I understood Cerbera's explanations better than I thought.

Does the back spoiler lift up automatically?, because in the game from Electronic Arts: Need for Speed Porsche unleashed the spoilers lifts up automatically when you are diving at high speeds, I think that was really cool! Try the demo and see what I am talking about.

I've now had the chance to test the two handlings in Vice.  The Turbo one was a bit mad because the traction loss value was so much less than the multiplier, plus the bias was a little too rearwards.  I've re-done the handling and it required two testing phases but here is the result:

http://cerbera.daves-hosting.co.uk/gtavc/images/25porsche911turbo.JPG
1024 x 768 version
Code:
;Fragdieb Porsche 911 Turbo
CHEETAH         1300.0 1.8 4.5 1.3 0.0 -0.04 0.25 75 0.82 0.70 0.48 5 250.0 25.0 R P 4.2   0.63 0 22.5  1.40 0.17 0.25 0.60 35000 0.25 -0.15 0.50 0.0    0000083    1  1
;

I then did the Speedster.  Didn't try the original handling for it, I adapted the Turbo one by making it heavier, a little less grip but more progressive with that grip, traction bias slightly less rearward, less power, same suspension effect and the CoM is slightly less rearwards and slightly lower.  Oh, brakes have slightly less power and are set a little more to the rear.

Overall effect is a car which slower than the Turbo but slides in a more progressive manner:

definitely. Only thing that still needs to be changed: switch the double_exhausts flag off, as these cars only have a single exhaust.

Lines now have the flag disabled.  I consider these handlings and screenies complete, as well as the text blurb on my site about them.

(EDIT)  I've now released these two cars onto my website, replacing the handling in the readme with the new setups.

i like it, nice polys, real smooth. edges look a little rough, but overall its a real nice touch to vc and definitely gets extra points for being made from scratch. definitely does justice to one of my favorite cars. very good stuff.

These were my favourite models for Vice and made the whole experience more enjoyable - in fact it MADE the game for me using these models!!!

I had just had my Porsche for a week when the clutch went, requiring a complete engine drop to replace it and taking 2 weeks to get back from the shop. I remember sitting playing Vice with these cars during that time and it made it a little more palattable to bear!

Anyway, I would LOVE to get these models working in San Andreas if anyone can assist?

      Cheers,
