Just recently, the official GTA: San Andreas was released. Along with the trailer released earlier (now with better quality and a couple more scenes added) there's more screenshots, and movies added too.

Nice, Thanks!

2 more months for PlayStation2!

I wonder when will it come out for PC?

I know I'll go the RockStar's headquarters sit in front of their door and start screaming and crying like a 3year who want its candy. Until they start making it for PC. :))  :))  :))

One thing I hate about new games coming out for PC is that their requirements always increases as the newer one come out. Even though it's the same title.  For a game console they don't do those frekin increase in requirements.

For example: You want PC that could play game, but do not have the money to afford a good one. So you went with a budget PC which has a:
Intel Celeron D 335(2.8GHz) processor
256MB ram
40Gb[JB] HD
64MB VGA card
Yadi Yadi Yada...
you bought game: Uraturf*
Req for Uraturf
Intel Celeron D 320(2.4GHz) processor
AMD Athlon XP 2400+
128MB ram
64MB VGa card.
Ok your PC passes all the requirements to play the game.
After 6 months, Uraturf2* came out
Req for Uraturf2
Intel Celeron D 335 (2.8GHz) processor
AMD Athlon XP 3200+
1GB of ram
256MB Vga card.
You see in order for you to play the game Uraturf2 you must spend more money to upgrade components so that you can play Uraturf2.

(Note: Uraturf and Uraturf2 does not exist, so don't even bother going to a game store and ask do you have the game Uraturf or Uraturf2)!

That's how most PC games are, all they want you to do is spend! spend! spend! HAHAHHAHAHA!!!!Arghhh!!!!! :#@  :#@  :#@

interesting theory. Except for the fact that games manufacturers in no way make money from hardware sales.

But other than that..

This is my interesting theory -

WE MAKE COOL GAME MAN!
WE MAKE NEW HARDWARE MAN!
WE MAKE NEW GAME WITH MORE SHADOWS AND STUPID EFFECTS AND PUSH THE HARDWARE TO THE LIMIT!
I AM A CONSUMER AND I GET IT UP THE ARSE!

And this is 99% of the things that annoy me about PC's.

I hate this puny 17-inch monitor. Especially when it's set to 1280x1024.

Either way, u hurt my feelings. :*(  :*(  :*(

And Tougie Woogie...you are so fucking correct. The only things hyping up Doom 3 and Half-Life (woo...nerd games) are the graphics. Storyline? Who needs a friggin storyline when you can have fun examining the particle effects and looking at the water reflections. Whoopadedoo. What I love about R* is that they actually made the VC graphics engine more efficient than the one in GTA3. VC actually runs faster than GTA3 on my old computer....even with identical graphics settings.

This is what the other game makers should focus on. I don't care how many pixel shaders you can program as long as the game can actually RUN on my computer. I also don't want to buy a new graphics card every two months so I can play the newest games. What a bloody waste of money. Those bastards.

I think in terms of graphics over the top effects are not what makes a game look good, for example I think Vietcong looks fantastic graphically and doesn't have any stupid new effects, it just has a consistent, well-made, gritty look which runs very smoothly. If you look at Doom 3 and ignore the lighting effects it looks piss poor to be honest, the textures on some of the stuff look flat as a fart and the level modelling looks pretty shocking.

For good graphics in a 3D game, things need to be modelled and textured well. With a bit of effort something as old as Quake can look absolutely fantastic.

Also some of the effects actually annoy me like over the top lens flares, overly shiny and reflecty water, bump mapping usually ends up making surfaces look a bit too odd for my liking as well. Don't get me wrong I'm all for advances but why should I have to spend a few hundred for a new graphics card just so it can do some extra shading on the dust clouds?

Yes. And yeah, there are some brilliant games with brilliant graphics out there. I'm just pissed off at the ones where graphical quality prevails over the overall quality and enjoyment of the game.

I think the graphics mattering depends on what sort of game it is, but I just resent having to pay more money for new hardware just so they can do more shimmery water. Some of my favourite games look arse. Like Transport Tycoon.

GTA and GTA2 look beautiful, are fun as hell, and don't require 3Ghz computers with 8GB RAM, DirectX 619.8 and a 256-mb graphic card to run.

 :D

And yeah, I know, people have told me a million times not to exaggerate. But I'm not.
