The show you are thinking of is the Visionaries. Found a nice website for you. What do I win? Perhaps a "update the cars page ticket".....

I think I had a few of those models and I may have seen the show once or twice but I was quite young in '89 ( only 5, bless).

yeah baby, class. I had all the individual figures you could get in the uk, plus the bad guy's small flying doodad. Still got them somewhere in my parents' loft I'm sure. I was 10 back then, right in marketing man's crosshairs lol

i was always a fan of the original transformers...  i had a fuckload of toys, and got my parents to buy the movie when i found out it existed...  so that was probably when i was 5 or 6 years old...   i still have the VHS copy somwhere, but i've got it on DVD as well now...
