lazer 40-30 Joined: Jul '06 Posts: 3	hi im new here and i was wondering if it was possable to change the color of your player in a solo game,like if i can remap the color of my player to look like a swat or a lonnie and if its possable to do this can someone give me i link to the programs i need and some tutorals please. and relley happy i joined this fourm im a big fan of gta2.

Try using STYed to open the files and chang every fucking single sprite, and yes, it is possible.

Hence why no-one bothers.

Or rewrute the level code and change the player sprite to something else.

Yes, if you replace the swat with gang it would change the ped you replace.

Rewrite* Don't blame me, I am high.

Erm, use the official script complirer, R* made a guide on how to write th code in notepad and then use the compiler... Think it's on Azz's site.

Hi there.

If you want to change the players remap, just use the command "CHANGE_CHAR_REMAP ( playername , remap )". However, if you want a player to look like a SWAT guy use the following:

"SET_CHAR_GRAPHIC_TYPE ( playername , EMERG_GRAPHIC , -1 )"

You can use that on anything really... and if you need more info about character coding, take a look at my tutorial, as well as my other GTA2 tutorials that have been hosted by Cerbera. You should find most things you need on there, and if you have any questions just ask.

PS - I should really do some more tutorials sometime as I still do get a few random emails about GTA2 scripting
