That's interesting...the single-player storyline has been something of a GTA hallmark. I'd expect single player would keep that. But if it's just another single-player GTA, then it's basically GTASA+10% -- and R* said they aren't going to do that now the trilogy is over.

I'd put money on GTA4 having some sort of online play. Even if it's just team-based FPS type game modes. Whether they make it MMO or just have it like GTA2 with a better interface I don't know. But from past interviews, they've made some MMO-like noises.

Something to bear in mind is the big market of non-hardcore gamers. With the big-selling MMO's you can pick them up and toddle around without much experience. So maybe R* would be interested in the newbie dollar?
