Hello people,

Need a little help here, my new computer has Vista on it but doesn't seem to like running a few games, namely Half Life, Settlers 3 and GTR. Is anyone else having problems like this? Are there any solutions (other than installing XP) that could be recommended?

Odd, they all work fine for me. The only game that won't work in Vista is Railroad Tycoon 3 (it's a conspiracy!). Try running in the "admin" account, right click on the exe file for the game, and select "run as administrator" (fixes the Punkbuster crash people experiance in BF2142, might be worth a try). Also, make sure you have all the latest Vista drivers for your devices, especially your graphics card. And seek tech help from the publishers if all else fails. Valve should have help for Vista users at any rate.
