Well I think i still fucking have it guys, wow, just started playing around with a shape the other day and, well this is what it turned into, thoughts suggestions, put-downs (criticism's)...

and here a car from the past, tried to do a different shading style not so sure if I pulled it off as well, but i wanted to emulate that changing paint color I think i might need to make it a bit darker however.

Good work, i like the it.gif one more, it is a bit wider, but just the right amout to not make it look "fat", but i don't like it's front, whenever i try to imagine it in 3D it just doesn't look right.
 
btw, try to make a 4x scaled cars for tdc :D

Get your screen gamma corrected to gamma 2.2, the dark parts look just fine.

well it looks fine to me on my computer, but maybe that is just me, dark parts on which car the it car or the other one?..

And are they really that bad :(

Well Needles' elitism is not without base... you forgot one of the "golden rules" of carmaking.
If 'un you make the edges really dark, it looks like it has  a fugly black outline when you play in-game!

anyways well no one plays really but i guess it is the idea behind designing the cars in the first place...hmm well i will work on them a bit more then you ingrates :(

but in TDC that's not a problem, since we have ANTI-ALIASING and a whole alpha channel to fade-out the edges, in tdc such edges would look even better (with a proper alpha channel).

still if you did not maximize it, i am pretty sure the damn reviewers do not do that, it still is not a bad car is it? Or what do you guys think.....

Ha ha! That Second car was something I had a compo for I believe!

The first one has an interesting Enzo style front, but a rather boring square rear. Maybe something more interesting there. The bonnet highlight (on the left) needs to curve around the shape instead of being central to the wings. The side windows need a bit of blending - so they look less like black holes. Also, get rid of the black border around the rear window. Left wing mirror needs a highlight. Roof highlight needs more blending.

Otherwise, interesting car!  tea
