heya,

anyone know of any decent city builder type games? preferably ancient civs rather than sim city style.

I've played Zeus to death, am currently playing through Civcity Rome, but wondered if there are any more? The big gaming review sites all seem unable to suggest decent alternatives.

Otherwise any suggestions for games of a similar ilk?

I've run out of things to play, having just done GTA IV for the second time. Tis a bloody good game but not ready for a third run through just yet ;)

I'm guessing nobody knows of any good alternatives then.

I like city building games, and i like real time strategy games. I've not managed to find a good breed of the two...

I vaguely remember playing a demo of constructor. Might have to give it a worth, ta Touge.

My search continues. I bought Caesar IV, which is ok but a little derivative of the rest of the series. I'll stick with it and see if it grabs my attention.

Also playing through Civilization IV. Never played the Civ games, so it's all nice and fresh. Again, a little uninspiring but perfectly playable. I think as I try and get more into the depth of it it should spring out a bit.

Closest to an rts citybuilder cross I've played is Rise of Nations. Trouble is the games just end up being the same thing, build like buggery to get yourself stealth bombers and nukes and obliterate the enemy. Good laugh, just not got a huge lifespan.

What about this, it's a bit more a straight strategy game, but Rise Of Nations?
