last bank holiday of the year, not counting boxing day. So what are people's plans? Owt good?

No doubt it'll be chucking it down here, but I'll be working as usual so it's not a huge downer. Still, sure you're not all as crazily overworked as me, right?

Good news is it's Beatles weekend on radio 2, so that'll keep me company..

Did you all have a good time?

I went to wales for the weekend, it was reasonable, saw the parents.

Oh yeah, Jerome, I had a question for ya

You were in my recommended friends thing on facebook and I looked through a few photos of you, and saw you stayed at a Jazz hostel in new york this summer, cos I recognised the little porchy thing with fussball in your photo (sounds like I'm stalking you!). I wanted to ask what dates you were there?

Ah, I was there 27th may to 2nd june. So near yet so far...

Maybe you slept in my bunk :D

To think we came so close, in another country...

Incidentally i didn't think that was a very good hostel, too much of a party hostel.

And these insane dutch girls making ridiculous amount of noise and being drunk all the time in our room.

Haha, we had this weird group of people in ours one night who just talked really loud in the morning, our manager just started shouting at them. It was an alright hostel, it was just in Harlem... The best ever hostel we've stayed in was the Strowis in Utrecht, Holland, really good. Best hotel though was the Omni Hotel in Austin, it had a swimming pool on the roof, which was the 23rd floor, that was amazing.
