| Sorry I've been neglecting you G! I wanna be a good little active forumer again now.
This thing came in the post for me today:

My girlfriend is in love with Earthbound for the SNES. As you may know, Earthbound for SNES was released in Japan as Mother 2 for the Super Famicom. The first game, Mother for the Famicom, was never released in the US.
This website called NESreproductions.com will take an old NES cart and reprogram it as a different one, either a custom game you've made yourself, or a number of unreleased games. The service cost $25.
This is a fan-translated version of the original Mother, complete with a new sticker fashioned after the Japanese Mother labels, but reading "Earthbound" (even though the SNES sequel is "Earthbound"... fans like to call the English-translated original 'Earthbound Zero').
It works great, totally translated version of Mother, on an actual NES cart your can play in an NSTC NES.
It took about a month to come back in the mail- I was starting to think it was a scam site or it got lost in the mail.
Hopefully the look on my amiga's face will be worth the FUCKING FIFTY-SEVEN DOLLARS it cost to FedEx the original game cartridge to Canada.
For some reason, certain games can only be reprogrammed on certain cartridges, something to do with the microchip inside I guess. This Earthbound Zero game used to be Tecmo NBA Basketball, which is one of about 20 compatible cartridges. ------------------
