Don't get me wrong - I'm all for cheap, efficient nuclear power - just not when the reactor (and its backup cooling generators) are placed in some of the world's most seismically volatile regions. Kinda asking for that one, they were. Also of note - I lol'd HARD when the Japanese government petitioned America to bleed money to save their helpless asses. Not that there's anything wrong with helping people - but, seeing as how Japan is a developed nation asking for help, I think that whatever monetary aid we provide should come off our national debt with them.

Don't get me wrong - I'm all for cheap, efficient nuclear power - just not when the reactor (and its backup cooling generators) are placed in some of the world's most seismically volatile regions. Kinda asking for that one, they were.

I'm afraid I've only really been following one news story anyway and that's Charlie Sheen.

I don't wish to sound insensitive, but he's the host with the most and I want to be a winner just like him.

Anyway, if whatever money we spend in providing aid is taken away from the money that we owe Japan, I think that's a fair trade. We bail them out and they relieve some of our debt - win/win.

And asking for debt relief in exchange for humanitarian aid is amoral.
