I think i may have a vius.  All it does is make a 15kb  hyper text template in every folder on my computer, all i can see its doing is taking up space and making some fonts display incorrectly at the wrong size. Has anyone had this?

If you don't have software, go to Housecall and do the online search thing.
Speaking of viruses, I just had a Trojan virus called Backdoor.sdbot, or something like that.  It was so hard to get rid of!  I couldn't fix it, quarantine it, or delete it!  I had to do all of this junk to fix it.  So I ended the System32.exe (which was what was infected) process and then tried to quarantine it.  Finally it worked ... I think.  But it was annoying because whenever Norton finds something, a little message popped up, and they would not go away.  The rest of my like 84 viruses were quarantined.  That's my story.

Edit:  Actually, now, when I log on it says "Windows cannot find 'C:WINNTSystem32System32.exe'.  You can search for the file." or something like that.   :#@ I'm angry.

Luckly I haven't gotten any viruses, because I use protection when I go on the internet.

Go "Run" -> "Start" -> "msconfig" -> "Startup" and uncheck it.

I tried that, but it's not on there, nor in the Startup folder (Start -> All Programs/Programs -> Startup).  Any more ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Yay!  My 500th post. :)

Yeah, ICEY said that you were a "frequent visitor".  Hey, it sounded like it made sense!  I don't want to go negative, it's getting too popular.  Just a few of negatives is fun, but too many will die!

I am also having problem with font sizes on some pages, such as the poll on gtazz and almost all of g!, but I can't find any of the 15k files. Norton doesn't find anything wrong as far as I know, what should I do?

Good News!
I got rid of that virus (Backdoor.sdbot).  But after that this message kept on coming up saying "Windows couldn't find 'C:WINNTSystem32System32.exe'".
It wasn't in System Configuration Utility (msconfig) > Startup or Startup folder.  This was troubling.

If anyone gets this same thing to happen, you must edit the registry.

1. Start
2. Run
3. Type in regedit
4. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogon
5. Look through the Data column until you find "Explorer.exe C:WINNTSystem32System32.exe or cmd32.exe".
6. Delete that value.

That is just what I did, yours will probably be different, depending on whether you have XP or whatever.  Just my story.

Warning:  While editing the registry, always back it up!  (File > Export)
