Is it just me, or does every car Opel/Vauxhall/Whateverthehellyouwanttocallit designs look like carp on carpet, except the VX series???

I mean the VX220 is pretty nice looking, and this, well this is amazing.

Why can't they make their other cars as sexy?? And, while we're at it, why can't they export the VX220's to Australia!!!!!!

Oh my that is sweeeet!! The front looks like a toned down version of a mix between an enzo and that celica concept! The lights are way sexy aswel, the rear is lush aswel, it looks more super car than vauxhall, if they keep on like this i think they could take on porsche!!

I'm guessing this is their elite design branch, which probebly means that they get paid a lot more then the yokels who scribbled the vectra concept on a piece of toilet paper while in the can.

All with you on it going downunder, great alterntive to a boxter/tt/z4 but the price would be bloody outrageous. It would easily make it  holden's most expensive road legal car ever.

Hmm, somewhere I could have a chance of working after college + uni doing Automotive Design... If you see Vauxhall suddenly churn out beautiful cars in about 10 years time, you know who'll be behind it. :))

That VX Lightning is very nice, the lines are similar to the 220, but it seems bigger and faster, which it is. It reminds me of a coupe I sketched a few years back based on the then new Vectra's styling, not in the looks but in the concept and market placing, like a Calibra but lighter and more powerful.

Quite the pretty car huh?

Anyone notice a bunch of companies have been making their cars bigger again? I hope its not just me noticing it... and being amazingly happy by it. ;)

Yeh aint they?  The new mini is  fine example of that, Mini? my arse is it.  The new fiesta is bulky aswel, same can be said for the 307, corsa and c2.  I think car makers should go back to there roots and make smaller cars that appeal to the younger genration like the saxo and punto.

Err, the car this topic is about is very small.  It looks kinda nasty in my opinion, actually.  Seems like someone's had a great design then realised that they've got to add wheels under it, seats in it and then space to put shit.
Looks like a university kit car project, in fact. :Y
