Yeah, but wasn't that the hideously organised one that involved activities and stuff, as opposed to the me and J sponsored "lets find a pub somewhere in north/central england and get wasted, then sleep at his house for two weeks" idea which I prefer better.

Actually we'd sit and scratch our heads, because we still use good old miles.

But I agree with you, it's possible to drive the entire country in a day (although you'd be knackered) yet I have friends who couldn't believe I was going to drive to Manchester alone. It's 100 miles away for christs sake, 90 minutes on a good day, maybe less.

Bleh, England is not a drivers country.

That sounds good!! Let go to brum, its pretty centralised!!  My first lesson is on monday paul and im going to be doing 3-4 lessons a week so it shouldnt take me to long to pass!

Since this marriage of holy matrimony (the second one on GTAZZ I might add) wont happen for a few years, I suggest you wait, and then announce the day a few months earlier (like, 12) so I can organise my arse up there to show you what a REAL knife is!!!

Good luck Fordy, the learning part isn't that bad, it's the test, it isn't hard but it is very harsh, and I don't know bout where you are, but up here there is a 2 month waiting list to do another test. Let us know how you are doing though. Are you having any private lessons with family or just driving lessons? I did the whole thing in 6 months with just driving lessons, as I couldn't afford to do any more.

Oh, and JJ, you find the house, I am sure people will come and get drunk :)

Im gunna do bout 4 ish lessons a week and im gunna go out with my dad aswel in the evenings aswel, what i think would be good is if i drive to work with him in and he drives back.  Seems ok i think. I think the waiting list is about 1 month here!

My driving test really got to me.  My leg was shaking when I was bringing out the clutch.  Still got it though.  Ooooh yeah……

I think it was impressive I passed at all considering I was driving on what was a sprained ankle, course I didn't find that out till later.

Fucking hurt though.

I'm having my 21st the weekend at the end of this month; I've got my trampoline down from home and put it in my back yard which it now fills.
