| Howdy. I know I've been gone quite some time, mainly for a couple of reasons. Work is getting quite intensive, so I'm getting home each night knackered, and my weekends are usually split between golf and driving lessons, so time is something of a premium.
Second thing is I've lost my GTA "spark" as of late. I even uninstalled GTA3 from my pc to make some space (gasp). But not to worry, it's all swings and roundabouts and I've lost count the number of times I've lost the thrill with different GTA games over the past 5 years only to have it sneak up on me and go "boo".
So absence explained. Sort of.
Site status. Firstly, since a few people have mentioned it I thought I should share it with everyone. A lot of the early GTA user cars are currently unavailable. This is because Easyspace have decided to delete my account with them. In all fairness I've been in breach of their T&C for about 4 years, but shhh, that's not the point. Fear not, I have all the cars on my computer (he says, tempting fate and rushing off to find a blank cdr just in case), and as soon as broadband arrives in my neighbourhood (4days all being well, woot) I'll get them online. I believe we're moving to pastures new, ie a new server, soon anyway, so they'll go on there.
Job vacancies. Ok I've been utterly utterly crap about this so I'd like to apologise. I've advertised two vacancies, one to run a file site on this server and one to do our GTA3 reviews. Had a fair few applicants for both and then never got around to picking someone for the job. So officially, I'm sorry.
Both vacancies are still available, though the file site thing might hold off until the new server arrives. The GTA3 reviews we still need someone to do them since Ill is busy pratting around with some empty city hehe. Anyway, if you're still interested (which I know you all are, right? god don't make me do them myself, please), how about you download THIS car and email a review to azz at gouranga.com. Oh and apologies to Steve Hilder who made the car for not asking his permission first, but sure if it gets his car reviewed this century it's a good thing.
Right.
I'm still considering finding someone to run the site who can spend more time on it than I could, but to be honest I'm not sure if I'd rather have it stand vacant than give it to someone who might not do it "right". If I could find the right person I guess I might, we'll see.
Anyway, hopefully things should get moving a little bit now, please keep sending in your cars, we will get them reviewed at some point, honest. Even if I have to cancel my round of golf and review the fucking things myself lol.
That is all. Move along, move along... ------------------ azz.gouranga.com est. 1998 (I am oldskoolier than joo) |
