They've never done an album I didn't like. I heard people dissing the Era Vulgaris, but that's FUCKING INSANE.

Best song on the album, not bad eh?

Era Vulgaris is super sexy, but I think Lullabies is my favorite album.

Re: What have we been listening to this month?

I recently signed up for Rdio and have been finding a lot of new music. One song in particular I came across the other day is a nice Nintendo remix:

And then also this great Price is Right remix:

robots.txt? I don't really get the significance either way, why do you want it or not want it?

It's a little file that sits in the root of your website, that tells web crawlers what to do.

Yours is set to tell any web crawlers to not crawl your website, which means it won't be indexed by search engines.

I wasn't being pedantic or looking for this, I just googled your band's name and it was obvious from the search result

For those of you who are 8bit fans, 8bit bEtty released his newest album and it's pretty excellent. My favorite track is 'Try As I Might' because it makes me lol at all the hipster faggots I can't seem to stop running into.

Re: What have we been listening to this month?

Christ, I went with 'Try As I Might' right off the bat since the last time you suggested a song to me, it was 'A Quick Hello' and that was brillo pad. I like this new one, it's cute. Until it turns into mental Hardcore Martin Galway. I haven't given the rest a proper listen, but the quick bits I've heard sound fucking BARREN as well, in a good way. I like a pure 8-bit sound, I'm always irritated when I hear something and they've sweetened it with beats or stuck guitar and drums over it. Chromelodeon excepted, but I never really counted them as 8-bit anyway, more a proggy band who just happened to use those sounds.

Speaking of nerdy prog shit! MARBLE MADNESS: THE ROCK EPIC!

Got it the other day and it's been on a solid loop since. The guy's just recently done a remake of the Tron score too and it's fucking astounding, I might have to stump forth the money.

Re: What have we been listening to this month?

Man I know pop culture travels out of the US pretty slowly (and we seem to latch onto UK stuff pretty late, IE dubstep), but LMFAO was popular what, two or three years ago? At least? I don't think I've heard them on US airwaves since, what, 2010? 2011?

Shit's crazy, yo.

EDIT - that being said, both Ameer and I went through an LMFAO faze for a few months straight. There was a user-selected music video system at Ameer's work (think jukebox but with flat screens everywhere, was controlled via text message) and we'd cue Party Rock Anthem up like five or six times in a row whenever he was on break.

Re: What have we been listening to this month?

Yeah that LMFAO song charted a long time ago but it still gets regular play on crapy top 40 radio stations.

You know the type, a radio station that will play a hit song 3 times a day:  Morning drive, daytime radio, evening shift. I had to suffer though them for years when I worked full time in an office that pumped them though the roof speakers.

I would have killed myself. I make it a point to turn off any Christmas music I hear in the office, I couldn't imagine LMFAO for years.

But yeah I know the radio type. I drive ALL THE TIME for work, so I'm always hearing the same 20 songs (spread out over a few different stations/genres) and it makes me go CRAZY.
